Iran has warned of strict control over the Strait of Hormuz and a ban on the entry of enemy ships. It described the security of the Gulf region as mutual and called for declaring the entire region insecure in case of any threat.
Amid concerns of possible Iranian retaliation, the US on Wednesday flew a pair of B-52H over the Persian Gulf, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM).
