New Delhi: A spokesman for an Iranian military unit has said that the security of its maritime zone is a national responsibility for the country. Especially Iran is adopting a very strict stance regarding control over the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the most important sea routes in the world. They say that only those ships will be able to pass through this route that will follow their rules.

Ban on ships belonging to the enemy

The statement clearly states that ships that Iran considers “associated with the enemy” will not be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. That means Iran will decide on its own which ships can go through this sea route and which cannot. This, in a way, shows the policy of strict control and surveillance.

The matter of implementing a permanent control system

The spokesman also said that Iran will implement a permanent and strong system to maintain continuous control over the strait. This means that Iran can make security and investigation here stricter in the coming times.

Alert on security of Gulf region

He said that the security of the ports of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman should be equal for all countries. If the security of any one country is endangered, the entire region will be considered unsafe. In a way, this statement reflects both warning and pressure for collective security.

Warning of retaliation

The most serious thing said was that if Iran's ports or maritime areas were threatened, then no port in the Gulf region would be considered safe. This means that Iran could escalate tensions across the region in response to a potential attack or threat.
