Police have arrested a man, accused of attacking Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh with an axe during the December 3 violence in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district over alleged cow slaughter, officials said on Tuesday.
On December 3, the sub-inspector, along with the civilian, Sumit, died in the violence which erupted after the carcasses of 25 cattle were found in forests close to a police post.
