Tamil Nadu SIR removes over 97 Lakh voter names from draft; Over 5.43 Crore submit forms

Tamil Nadu’s SIR has led to the deletion of more than 97 lakh names from the voter list with around 5.43 crore electors submitting forms in the first phase of the exercise highlighting major changes to the electoral roll ahead of upcoming elections.
