The Supreme Court Wednesday asked the Election Commission to examine grievances raised by sacked BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav, whose nomination against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varansai, was cancelled.
Tej Bahadur Yadav on Monday knocked at the doors of the Supreme Court challenging the Election Commission’s decision to reject his nomination to contest polls as Samajwadi Party candidate from the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency.
Dismissed BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav’s nomination as the Samajwadi Party candidate against Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency was rejected on Wednesday.
Lauding former BSF constable Tej Bahadur Yadav for “challenging” Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Tuesday said there is “something in the soil of Haryana”, the state from where the sacked jawan hails.
Yadav who came into the limelight with his video on the quality of food being served in the Army said that post revelations made by him, he is being subjected to torture and that no heed has been paid to the concerns raised by him.
