Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday urged people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible and to continue following all the safety guidelines.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered under the nationwide vaccination drive has exceeded 24 crores, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed on Thursday.
The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has done away with specific trials of COVID-19 vaccines that have been approved by other international regulatory bodies – a big move likely to clear the way for foreign vaccines like Pfizer and Moderna for the country’s urgent requirement.
Government schools in the national capital will now serve as COVID-19 vaccination centres for people between 18-44 years who have recently been made eligible for the inoculation, said a Delhi government official on Sunday.
