Ayodhya: The traditional 14 Kosi Parikrama commenced in Ayodhya on the ninth day of the month of Kartik. This religious journey began on Thursday, 30 October with millions of devotees from across the country participating. Devotees begin the 14 Kosi Parikrama barefoot, singing hymns and hymns, after taking a holy dip in the Saryu River in the morning.
The route of this Parikrama passes through the sacred sites of Ayodhya, where devotees meditate on Lord Rama and Vishnu. Food and drink and rest facilities have been arranged for devotees at various places along the way. The administration has also made special arrangements for security and health services to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience.
