Lucknow: Dynamite News brings you the latest major update on Uttar Pradesh's bureaucracy—the appointment of the state's new Police Chief (Director General of Police, DGP).

The speculations about Prashant Kumar getting an extension on the post of Director General of UP Police (DGP) have come to an end. With this, it has also become clear that Uttar Pradesh is going to get an acting DGP for the fifth consecutive time.

On Saturday, it became clear that the government will not give a further extension to DGP Prashant Kumar on this post.

Sources even say that two IAS officers did not want Prashant Kumar to be given an extension on the post of DGP. These two IAS officers had put in all their efforts to ensure that Prashant Kumar does not get an extension.

It is also a unique coincidence that just before Prashant Kumar's retirement from the post of UP DGP, two IPS officers have been promoted. The two IPS officers who got promotion are Ashutosh Pandey and Reena Rawat. Both have been promoted to the post of DG while IPS Anand Swaroop has been kept on waiting list.

According to the information received by Dynamite News, some senior IPS officers are trying their best for the post of UP DGP. But the names of senior IPS officers Rajiv Krishna, Daljit Chaudhary, and Alok Sharma are leading in the race.

It is now widely believed that one of these three IPS officers will take over as Uttar Pradesh's next DGP. The big question remains: Who will succeed Prashant Kumar?

This is a developing story. Stay tuned to Dynamite News for further updates
