Ghaziabad: Indian cricketer Yash Dayal has gotten a big relief. The Allahabad High Court has banned any kind of police action in the sexual harassment case registered against him. Hearing the petition challenging the FIR, the High Court has issued a notice to the state government, the SHO of the Indirapuram police station, and the victim and sought a reply.

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, Yash Dayal was accused by a Ghaziabad girl of sexually exploiting her on the pretext of marriage. This FIR was registered on July 6 in the Indirapuram police station area of ​​Gaziabad under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). In the FIR, Yash Dayal was accused of having a relationship with the girl by promising her marriage and later refusing to marry her.

Hearing in the division bench of the High Court

A petition was filed in the High Court on behalf of Yash Dayal to quash the FIR. In which the state government, the police station in charge, and the complainant girl were made parties. This petition was heard in the division bench of Justice Siddharth Verma and Justice Anil Kumar on Tuesday.

Court stays arrest

During the hearing, Yash Dayal's lawyer told the court that this FIR has been filed with false and malicious intent to tarnish the reputation of the cricketer. The lawyer urged that Yash Dayal should not be arrested and the FIR should be cancelled until the matter is fully investigated. On this, the court has ordered not to take any punitive or harassing action on the basis of the FIR till the next hearing and has sought a reply from all the opposing parties.

A Ghaziabad resident girl has alleged that Yash Dayal had physical relations with her several times on the pretext of marriage and later refused to marry. After this, the girl lodged a complaint at Indirapuram police station, due to which the legal process has now been expedited. At present, Yash Dayal has gotten relief from arrest, but the court's stance in the next hearing in this case will be very important. The eyes of the cricketer's fans and the sports world are now fixed on the next legal process of this case.
