Kaushambi: District Magistrate Dr. Amit Pal conducted a detailed review of tax, non-tax, and overall revenue-related works at the Udyan Auditorium. The meeting focused on assessing progress against set targets and ensuring accountability among departments.
During the review, the District Magistrate expressed displeasure over inadequate revenue collection in the Commercial Tax Department and directed that a warning be issued to the Deputy Commissioner (Commercial Tax) for lax enforcement. Similar warnings were ordered for the Divisional Forest Officer and the District Mining Officer due to failure in achieving revenue targets.

The District Magistrate ordered the withholding of salary of the Executive Engineer (Irrigation) for remaining absent from the meeting. Departments including Stamp & Registration, Excise, Transport, Electricity, and Mandi were instructed to intensify enforcement efforts and improve revenue realization in line with targets.

Reviewing tehsil-wise recovery of Revenue Certificates (RC), the District Magistrate expressed dissatisfaction over slow progress and directed issuance of warnings to all Tehsildars. He emphasized daily monitoring of revenue work and ensuring consistent progress.
Officials were instructed to expedite disposal of pending revenue cases, including partition matters, undisputed inheritance cases, and Chief Minister Farmer Accident claims. The District Magistrate also ordered immediate removal of illegal encroachments on government land and strict action against identified land mafias.

Dr. Amit Pal stressed that complaints received during public hearings must be resolved in a time-bound and quality-driven manner to maintain public trust and administrative efficiency.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (Finance/Revenue) Shalini Prabhakar, Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Om Prakash, and other senior officials.
