Gorakhpur: The movement of heavy vehicles on the Lucknow-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur highway between July 19 and August 9 on the auspicious occasion of Shravan month will be completely halted for 10 days, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The traffic police has announced the implementation of the route diversion during this period so that the convenience and traffic system of the devotees can be kept smooth. During this period, keeping in mind the second Monday of Shravan and Trayodashi, the entry of heavy vehicles like cargo trucks, DCMs, and tractors for 120 hours from July 19 to 24 will be completely forbidden.
According to the traffic police, the main objective of this ban is to provide safe and easy travel to devotees visiting Ayodhya and other religious places in the month of Shravan. This step has been taken to prevent congestion and possible accidents caused by the movement of heavy vehicles.
The police have advised using alternative routes, whose details will soon be released by the local administration and the traffic department. Under the diversion plan, heavy vehicles will be transported to their destination from other routes so that traffic pressure on the highway can be reduced.

Acoording to Dynamite News correspondent, local people and passengers have been appealed to strictly follow the guidelines of the traffic police during this period. Heavy drivers have been advised to make their journey plan in advance and get information about diversion routes.
