Bulandshahr: In a chilling incident from the district, a mother and her lover allegedly murdered their 3-year-old daughter, reportedly because the child was coming in the way of their illicit relationship. The police have arrested both accused and sent them to judicial custody, revealing a shocking case that has left the community in disbelief.
The tragic event occurred in the Ahmedgarh police station area. On September 28, three-and-a-half-year-old Divyanshi went missing under mysterious circumstances.
Her mother, Seema alias Lali, lodged an FIR at the Narora police station, claiming the child had been abducted and feared killed by unknown individuals. The situation took a horrifying turn on October 1, when Divyanshi’s body was discovered buried in the sand near the Gangnahar canal in Narora.

Initially, police examined the case from a different perspective, but scientific and forensic investigation gradually revealed the real story. Superintendent of Police (Rural), Dr. Tejveer Singh, stated that the murder plot was orchestrated by the child’s mother Seema and her lover, Yatendra.
During interrogation, Seema admitted that she frequently argued with Yatendra over the child. Eventually, both planned Divyanshi’s murder. The duo first struck the girl on her head and then suffocated her by pressing her mouth, ultimately ending her young life. Following the murder, they disposed of her body in the Gangnahar canal and filed an FIR implicating other individuals to mislead the authorities.
Seema tried to manipulate the investigation by naming Yatendra’s alleged rivals in the FIR, attempting to divert attention from the actual culprits. However, thorough police investigation, backed by technical and forensic evidence, exposed the truth behind this heinous act.

Both Seema alias Lali and Yatendra, son of Prempal Singh, residents of Azizabad village under Pahasu police station, have been arrested and sent to judicial custody. Dr Tejveer Singh emphasized that this case is both extremely sensitive and heinous. “A mother taking the life of her own daughter is not just a crime but a grave violation of societal and human values,” he stated.
