Lucknow: The first day of the Cooperative Youth Conference in Lucknow saw Maharajganj District Magistrate (DM) Santosh Kumar Sharma in the spotlight for setting a new record in the state. Sharma was recognized for his outstanding performance in the Cooperative Mega Membership Campaign 2025, where he added the highest number of new members in Uttar Pradesh, including 28,000 online registrations.
On Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored Santosh Kumar Sharma at a packed Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, presenting him with a citation for successfully achieving campaign targets and creating a state-level milestone. The award ceremony on the first day of the conference, which runs until December 31, was attended by several dignitaries, including Cooperative Minister Jayendra Pratap Singh Rathore. CM Yogi cited Sharma’s achievement as an inspiration for other districts and officials across the state.
In an exclusive interview with Dynamite News, Sharma credited the recognition to the collective efforts of the Maharajganj team, cooperative department officials, and local residents. He emphasized that future initiatives will focus on further empowering farmers and youth through cooperative programs.
Under Sharma’s leadership, the campaign was conducted extensively across Maharajganj, with village-level registration drives, awareness programs, and active participation from youth, women, and farmers. This success has strengthened the cooperative movement in the district, setting a new benchmark for Uttar Pradesh.
