Mainpuri: Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav has written to the Mainpuri District Magistrate seeking a detailed report on alleged fake and duplicate voter entries across four Assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh. The complaint raises questions over 19,224 voter entries, with details of the investigation and action taken by the district administration now in focus.

Four Assembly Constituencies Under Scrutiny

In her letter, Dimple Yadav referred to alleged irregularities in the electoral rolls of Mainpuri (107), Bhogaon (108), Kishni (109) and Karhal (110).

According to the letter, Samajwadi Party district president Alok Kumar Shakya had submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate on May 19, 2026. The complaint was based on an examination of the final electoral rolls published on April 10, 2026, and sought a detailed investigation into the suspected entries.

Constituency-Wise Breakdown of Alleged Entries

The complaint cites the following figures:

Mainpuri: 4,377 entries
Bhogaon: 4,379 entries
Kishni: 4,692 entries
Karhal: 5,776 entries

The total comes to 19,224 entries. However, these figures represent allegations raised in the complaint and should not be treated as officially confirmed fake or duplicate voters unless verified by the competent election authorities.

Dimple Yadav Seeks Details of Investigation

The MP has asked the District Magistrate to clarify what action has been taken since the complaint was received, the current status of the investigation and the findings recorded so far. She has also sought constituency-wise investigation reports and relevant documents.

Her letter reportedly asks the administration to explain any delay in taking action and establish accountability if the complaint has not been addressed effectively.

Demand for Legal Action if Irregularities Are Confirmed

Dimple Yadav has called for an investigation in accordance with the applicable rules and corrective measures if incorrect entries are established. She has also sought legal action against those found responsible for any proven irregularities.

The allegations have yet to be officially confirmed. The investigation report and the district administration's response will be crucial in determining whether the suspected entries involve errors, duplication or other violations of electoral rules.
