Prateek Yadav given a tearful final farewell
Lucknow: The funeral of Prateek Yadav, son of veteran politician Mulayam Singh Yadav, was held at Baikunth Dham in Lucknow amid an atmosphere of deep grief. In a heartfelt ceremony, his father-in-law, Arvind Singh Bisht, performed the last rites, with the entire family present.
Prateek’s funeral was conducted with full state honors, following family traditions. His sudden passing at the age of 38 has left the Yadav family and the wider political community in shock.
Large Crowds Attend Funeral Procession
The funeral procession began from Prateek Yadav’s residence on Thursday at around 11:30 AM. Before reaching Baikunth Dham, his mortal remains were taken to the Samajwadi Party office, where party workers and leaders paid their respects.
Among those present were his elder brother and SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav, uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav, and MPs Dharmendra Yadav and Anshul Yadav. Prateek’s wife, BJP leader Aparna Yadav, and their two daughters were also in attendance, offering a moving farewell.
Prateek Yadav passed away early Wednesday at a Lucknow hospital. According to the post-mortem report, the cause of death was identified as pulmonary thromboembolism, a serious condition caused by a blood clot in the lungs.
