Gorakhpur: President Draupadi Murmu is coming on a two-day visit to Gorakhpur tomorrow, June 30. With the arrival of the president, special preparations are going on here for her two-day programs. The President will not only participate in important programs of three big institutions here, but after landing at Gorakhpur Airport, she will cover a distance of 129 kilometers by road.

The President will go to every destination in Gorakhpur by road. According to Dynamite News correspondent, President Draupadi Murmu will come to Gorakhpur on Monday, June 30, in the afternoon and will leave the next day, on Tuesday, July 1, in the evening.

On Monday, she will attend the first convocation of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Gorakhpur and award medals to the meritorious students. While on July 1, in the morning, she will inaugurate the state's first Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University, Pipri Bhathat, and in the afternoon, she will inaugurate the academic building, auditorium, and panchkarma and lay the foundation stone of the girls' hostel at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Arogyadham, Sonbarsa.

Apart from this, she will visit Gorakhnath Temple at different times on both days. There is also a program of darshan—worship of Guru Gorakhnath—and prasad reception at Gorakhnath Temple.

First president to undertake such a long road journey

After landing at Gorakhpur airport, President Draupadi Murmu will cover a total distance of 37 km by road on the first day to and fro the airport, circuit house, AIIMS, and Gorakhnath temple. While on the next day, she will travel a total of 92 km by road to and fro the circuit house, Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University Pipri Bhathat, Gorakhnath temple, Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Arogyadham Sonbarsa, and the airport. Draupadi Murmu will be the first president to undertake such a long road journey in Gorakhpur.

President Ram Nath Kovind had come earlier

The Chief Minister has taken stock of the preparations for the President's programs at Ayush University and Mahayogi Gorakhnath University and the route to both places. It is being told that he is going to receive the President in Gorakhpur for the fourth time in his eight-year tenure.

He has invited the then President Ram Nath Kovind to Gorakhpur thrice before this. Ram Nath Kovind had come to the founding ceremony of Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad on 10 December 2018, the foundation stone laying ceremony of Ayush University and the inauguration ceremony of Mahayogi Gorakhnath University on 28 August 2021, and the centenary year inauguration ceremony of Gita Press on 4 June 2022.

Now the current President Draupadi Murmu is coming to Gorakhpur on a two-day visit.
