UP: High speed bike collides with car in Gorakhpur; One killed, two injured

Gorakhpur: At least one person was killed and two others were injured when a high speed bike rammed into a car in Golabazar area here in Gorakhpur late Saturday night, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The biker Sushil Singh died on the spot while his companion Anand Singh and the car driver Rinku Dubey were seriously injured.

The tragic accident took place when Rinku Dubey of Chandauli village was returning to Gorakhpur in his car. The high-speed bike coming from the opposite side, on which Sushil Singh and Anand Singh of Harpur were riding, went out of control and collided with the car. The collision was so devastating that the bike riders fell off the road. Sushil and Anand legs were broken, while Rinku's head was fractured. Both vehicles were badly damaged.

Locals Informed Police

After the locals informed the police, outpost in-charge Jitendra Kumar and constable Satyendra Kumar reached the spot and the injured were immediately rushed to Uruwa Primary Health Centre (PHC).

But as the victims were critically injured, the doctor referred them to the district hospital. Sushil Singh died during treatment while others two were being treated for their injuries.

The Police has taken both the vehicles into custody and started investigation. In the preliminary investigation, high speed and negligence are being cited as the cause of the accident.

"During the primary investigation it appears to be the case of negligence and over speeding. However, further investigation is under way. Despite our regular reminders to drivers, they often flout road safety rules and as a result pay heavily," said a Police official.

Caution On Road

Such incidents keep coming to the fore every day, this accident once again gave a painful lesson of negligence towards road safety. Sushil's family is in a bad state due to crying, and there is mourning in the area. Only caution on the road will save life. A little carelessness can cause death, so it is always advisable to be cautious. Especially, one needs to be more careful while driving at night. One person's mistake can also cost the life of another. This accident reminds us how over speeding is dangerous to life.
