UP SIR draft voter list released; 12.55 crore voters included

Objections can be filed if a name is not present in the draft voter list. They have one month, until February 6th, to do so. Claims and objections will be accepted during these 30 days.

Lucknow: The first draft list of SIR (Special Summary Revision) has been released in Uttar Pradesh. People can now check their names in the draft voter list on the Election Commission's website.

The Election Commission provided this information through a press conference. Objections can be filed if a name is not present in the draft voter list.

They have one month, until February 6th, to do so. Claims and objections will be accepted during these 30 days.

The state's Chief Electoral Officer, Navdeep Rinwa, said that there are 12.55 crore voters in the state. After the first phase, 2.89 crore names, or 18 percent, were removed. Claims and objections can be filed from January 6th.

Those whose names are not in the first draft list can fill and submit Form 6 by February 6th so that their names can be added. The final list will be released on March 6, 2026.

How to check your name in 3 steps:

  • Go to the Election Commission's website (https://voters.eci.gov.in/download-eroll).
  • Select your state and district. Then select your assembly constituency.
  • Select your polling booth and download the draft list.
