Ayodhya: UP STF was receiving information about drug smugglers being active in various districts of Purvanchal for the past several days. In this regard, STF teams were directed to take action, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

In this connection, STF has arrested 2 accused including the kingpin of the gang involved in smuggling of synthetic drugs at the interstate level. 812 grams of synthetic drug mephedrone (MD) and equipment for making synthetic drugs have been recovered from the accused.

STF has recovered about 812 grams of narcotic synthetic drug mephedrone (MD) and other chemicals used to prepare it from 2 members of the gang involved in smuggling at the interstate level by making synthetic drugs.

ANTF Thane shared information with STF that the wanted accused Mo Qayum is hiding in Ayodhya district or its surrounding districts and is preparing synthetic drugs in connivance with drug smugglers and supplying them to smugglers in states like Maharashtra, Goa etc.

During this time, information was received from reliable sources that illegal synthetic drugs are being manufactured in the warehouse built inside Maria Kids and Garments under Nasirpur Gaddha Road Suchitaganj, Sohawal, Thana-Raunahi, District-Ayodhya. On the information received, a joint team of STF team and ANTF Thane reached the said place and arrested 2 persons.

Confession of the accused

The arrested accused told that they have an organized gang smuggling drugs, which manufactures illegal drug mephedrone (MD) and supplies it through its carriers to various states including Goa, Mumbai, Pune, Thane. The kingpin of this gang is Mohammad Qayum, who manufactures illegal drug mephedrone (MD) in a warehouse built in Sohawal of Thana Raunahi area of ​​Ayodhya. Mo Qayum is a history sheeter criminal of Thana Raunahi and in the year 2021, he was arrested by STF from Thana Indira Nagar Lucknow with 2.50 kg of illegal drug Mephedrone (MD) and sent to jail.
