Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has busted an organized gang of fake cement manufacturers in two major operations and arrested a wanted accused of robbery with a reward of Rs 50,000 in another case.

According to a Dynamite News correspondent, the STF raided a warehouse located near the Nexa Maruti showroom in the Bakshi Talab police station area of ​​Lucknow and arrested a total of 8 accused, including Thakur Prasad, alias Ajay, the kingpin of the fake cement manufacturing gang.

Large quantity of fake cement recovered

During this, 705 bags of Ultratech, 420 bags of Mycem, 365 bags of ACC Gold, 225 bags of JK Lakshmi Damage Cement, and other large quantities of fake and fly ash cement were recovered. Apart from this, hundreds of empty branded cement bags, packing machines, weighing scales, mobile phones, tractors, and Bolero and pickup vehicles were also seized.

STF got information about the business

The arrested accused include Thakur Prasad (Sitapur), Manoj Kumar, Sanjit Rai, Shakeel (Lucknow), Salman (Unnao), Virendra, Ram Asare (Sitapur), and Naseem (Hardoi). STF was getting information about the fake cement business for a long time, after which this action was taken after special surveillance and intelligence gathering.

Fugitive accused arrested

On the same day, another STF team also arrested Sameer, an accused with a reward of Rs 50,000, in a robbery case registered in the Colonelganj police station area, Prayagraj. Sameer was absconding for a long time and is accused of running an organized robbery and dacoity gang.

Revelation made during interrogation

During interrogation, Sameer said that he is originally a resident of Pratapgarh and his gang had looted Rs 6 lakh at gunpoint from a steel bar shop located in Manmohan Park, Prayagraj. The robbery was planned in advance, and reconnaissance was also done for it.

Surrendered in court

Sameer was arrested by the STF near Doordarshan Center in Lucknow, where he was trying to escape. Several other members of the gang were arrested earlier, while some have surrendered in court. A case has been filed against the arrested accused, Sameer, in the Colonelganj police station of Prayagraj. Further action is being taken by the concerned local police.
