BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain extended Eid greetings and urged people to celebrate the festival with unity and peace. Speaking after offering prayers in Delhi, he emphasized that violence should not occur on any occasion.
New Delhi: On the occasion of Eid, senior BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain extended a message of peace and brotherhood to his countrymen. He said that everyone should celebrate the holy festival of Eid together and that it is important to maintain love and harmony in society.
Shahnawaz Hussain stated that he offered prayers at the Parliament Mosque in New Delhi and also organized an Eid feast, where people met and shared the joy of the festival. He stated that the true message of Eid is brotherhood and unity.
Expressing concern over recent communal incidents in some places, he stated that violence is unacceptable under any circumstances. He categorically stated that no one should be allowed to take the law into their own hands, regardless of the festival.
Referring to the incidents in Mathura and other places, he said that strict action should be taken in such cases. He praised the role of the police administration and said that security arrangements should be maintained tightly during the festivals.
Finally he appealed to everyone to maintain peace and celebrate festivals like Eid with love, harmony and brotherhood.
