New Delhi: A disturbing incident that took place in Delhi on January 2, widely referred to as the Thar assault case, has sparked outrage after CCTV footage of the episode surfaced online, raising serious concerns over law and order in the national capital.
The video, which has gone viral on social media, allegedly shows a group of men brutally assaulting Rajesh Garg and his son. Shockingly, the attackers are seen stripping and beating the victims even in the presence of Delhi Police personnel. The visuals have left viewers shaken and prompted questions about police response during the incident.
A team from Dynamite News visited the scene and spoke to the victim’s wife, Rita Garg, who described the incident as terrifying. She said she repeatedly pleaded with the attackers to stop and tried to shield her husband and son, but her appeals went unanswered. According to her account, the assault continued even after police reached the spot. Rita also alleged that she was assaulted and harassed during the chaos.
Police have confirmed that one accused has been arrested so far, while several others named in the case remain absconding. The suspects include Pintu Yadav, Vikas Yadav, Shubham Yadav, Omkar Yadav, and Madhur. The victim’s family and local residents claim they continue to live in fear, apprehending possible retaliation or a repeat attack.
