‘Internet Shutdowns, NSA And Lathis! Are Our Children Terrorists?’ Priyanka Gandhi Targets Modi, Shah

New Delhi: An unusual exchange unfolded in the Parliament complex after proceedings were adjourned during the Monsoon Session. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi, while speaking to the media, began questioning the reporters themselves.

She said she would respond only to questions that were relevant and connected to the serious issues facing the country. Priyanka alleged that sections of the media had become trapped in the government’s narrative and were asking only those questions that suited the ruling party.

Targets PM Over Absence, Questions Pradhan’s Resignation

Referring to the student protests and the NEET controversy, Priyanka Gandhi said young people across the country were on the streets, yet Prime Minister Narendra Modi was avoiding accountability in Parliament.

Turning to the journalists, she asked, “Did you ask Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan when he would resign? Answer in yes or no. I do not want a vague reply.”

‘Children Are in Hospitals—Are They Terrorists?’

Priyanka Gandhi also targeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the police action against protesting students.

She questioned why students were subjected to lathi-charge and said several young protesters had been admitted to hospitals. She further alleged that internet restrictions had prevented parents from contacting their children.
