Tensions Rise at AMU: Students protest fee hike, dharna continues despite police action

Lucknow: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) campus is facing a surge of student protests against a fee hike, with students accusing the administration of adopting a dictatorial attitude to suppress their voices. The situation worsened when the proctor forcibly arrested several students, leading to resentment among the students. Despite heavy rain, the students remain calm and plan to continue their protest until their demands are met.

They have sent rakhis to the Prime Minister, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and the Proctor to ensure their safety. They have no trust in the administration and are seeking help from the country's biggest leaders. Heavy police force has been deployed to the campus, but students claim this is an attempt to intimidate them and will not back down. These dharnas are becoming a significant part of AMU's history.
