Mainpuri: Saifai PGI in Uttar Pradesh has come under scrutiny after allegations emerged that a critically ill woman patient was discharged in an unconscious state and left outside the hospital in extreme heat conditions.

The incident has raised serious concerns among family members and locals about patient care standards and hospital accountability.

Patient from Mainpuri Admitted with Severe Pain

According to the family, the woman, identified as Moshi Lalsahay from Dharmagat village in Mainpuri district, was admitted after experiencing severe pain that reportedly spread from her leg to her chest.

Her brother, Balram, said she was admitted late Friday evening in a serious condition and showed little improvement despite treatment overnight.

Alleged Early Discharge Despite Critical Condition

Relatives claim that by Saturday morning, the patient remained unconscious and unable to move. Despite this, she was allegedly discharged by hospital authorities.

The family has questioned the decision, stating that the patient was not in a condition to walk or be shifted safely.

Patient Left Outside in Extreme Heat

The region was experiencing temperatures of around 47–48°C, according to local accounts. The family alleges that due to the discharge, the woman had to be placed under a tree outside the hospital premises.

They further claimed that the lack of immediate support forced them to wait in harsh conditions, worsening the distress of the patient and attendants.

Other Patients Also Face Difficult Conditions

Several other patients and attendants reportedly faced difficulties at the hospital, with many seen waiting outside in extreme heat. Family members allege restrictions on staying inside the hospital premises, forcing people to sit under trees and along walls for shelter.

Hospital Administration Silent So Far

As of now, the hospital administration has not issued any official response regarding the allegations. The incident has triggered anger among locals, who are demanding clarification and accountability from the authorities.
