Mainpuri: Parar Shahpur village of Barnahal block of Mainpuri looks like a hospital these days. There are patients in every street and every house here. The situation is such that about 250 to 300 people have been affected by fever. There is panic among the people, because there is also news of the death of a woman from the village.
Many patients have been admitted to hospitals as their condition has worsened, while the health department has started investigation by setting up a camp in the village itself. Government doctors are calling it viral fever, but the report of private pathology is also confirming dengue. Now in such a situation, the villagers are not able to understand what the real disease is.
Many houses in the village have become temporary hospitals. Many members of the same family are suffering from fever. Some are getting drips at home, while some are lying on the bed after taking medicines. The administration is claiming that medical teams have been deployed, medicines are being given and people are being made aware.
But the big question is that when the whole village fell ill, why was there no timely prevention? People are now living in fear, and life in Parar Shahpur is currently limited to doctors, medicines and fever.
