Maharajganj: On the occasion of 11th International Yoga Day, a grand yoga practice program was organized at District Sports Stadium in Maharajganj district today on Friday. On this occasion, about hundred of people of the district collectively practiced yoga and gave the message of healthy life. Along with public representatives, administrative officers, students, players and common people participated enthusiastically in the program.
The program started at the scheduled time as per the yoga protocol, in which yoga instructors made the participants practice various yoga postures including Vajrasana, Tadasana, Bhujangasana, Shavasana. During the yoga practice, the entire stadium was filled with discipline, energy and positive atmosphere.
On this occasion, the district Nodal Officer Anuj Jha described yoga as India's "priceless gift" to humanity and the world. He said, “With regular yoga practice, one can get rid of many physical and mental ailments arising in daily life. Yoga is no longer limited to India, but it has become a global health movement.”
