Zero Tolerance Policy of UP Government yields zero results; Employees stage protest

Sonbhadra: The 'Har Ghar Nal' program, which was meant to give clean drinking water to rural homes, has stopped working in 284 villages here in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

For months, villagers have not had enough clean water, even during hot summers and rainy seasons. Workers from the Jal Nigam department have been striking for two days because they haven't been paid for five months, which has hurt the program’s ability to help people.

The workers said that the local officials are not following the Yogi Government’s strict rules against corruption and poor work. This has caused a lot of problems in the villages, with people waiting for water and hand pumps running dry.

Villagers are asking for the program to start again and for workers to get their wages, because if nothing is done, the situation could get worse.
