Sonbhadra: The 'Har Ghar Nal' program, which was meant to give clean drinking water to rural homes, has stopped working in 284 villages here in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
For months, villagers have not had enough clean water, even during hot summers and rainy seasons. Workers from the Jal Nigam department have been striking for two days because they haven't been paid for five months, which has hurt the program’s ability to help people.
