New Delhi: Honda Motorcycles has launched the new 2026 model of its popular cruiser bike, the Rebel 500, in the international market. This bike has long been a favorite among mid-capacity cruiser enthusiasts. The new model features new color options to give it a fresh look. However, there are no technical changes in this update.
Rebel 500 Available In New Colors
The base model Honda Rebel 500 will now be available in two new colors – Pearl Black and Pearl Smoky Gray. Its top variant, the Rebel 500 SE, will now be available in a new Pearl Blue shade. These changes enhance the bike’s appearance. However, this new Rebel 500 is not currently available for sale. The company has announced that sales will begin in January 2026.
Price and Availability In India
Currently, the Honda Rebel 500 is priced at ₹5.49 lakh (ex-showroom, ₹5.49 lakh). The bike comes to India via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route, which is why its price is slightly higher. Honda sells the bike through its BigWing Topline dealerships, which are located in only a few cities – Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Internationally, prices start at $6,799 (approximately ₹5.98 lakh), while the SE variant is priced at $6,999 (approximately ₹6.15 lakh).
Rebel 500’s Engine Is More Powerful Than Bullet
The Rebel 500 is powered by a 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin DOHC engine that produces 45.5 bhp and 43.3 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Compared to the Royal Enfield Bullet 350, the Bullet only has a 349cc single-cylinder engine, which delivers less power and torque. The Rebel 500 is specifically tuned for low- and mid-range torque delivery, providing excellent performance on both city and highway terrain.

Powerful Features And Safety
The bike features a tubular steel frame, telescopic forks at the front, and dual Showa shock absorbers at the rear. The braking system includes 296 mm disc brakes at the front and 240 mm at the rear, along with dual-channel ABS, which further enhances safety.
The Honda Rebel 500 not only competes directly with bikes like the Royal Enfield Bullet, but with its premium looks, powerful performance, and international quality, it could be a great choice for cruiser enthusiasts in India. It remains to be seen when the new model launches in India.
