Mahindra’s New EV Shock: BE 6 Sporteq Launched With AI Cabin, Triple Screens and Drift Mode

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Edition launched at ₹11.45 lakh with triple-screen cabin, Google Gemini AI, Drift Mode and advanced connected features, adding new technology to the company’s electric SUV lineup.

New Delhi: Mahindra has expanded its electric SUV lineup with the launch of the BE 6 Sporteq Edition, bringing advanced technology, new driving features and premium cabin upgrades. The new edition starts at ₹11.45 lakh (ex-showroom) with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS).

The deliveries of the BE 6 Sporteq range are scheduled to begin from August 26, 2026.

Triple-Screen Cabin With Google Gemini AI

The biggest highlight of the new BE 6 Sporteq Edition is its futuristic three-screen dashboard setup, available from the TWO variant onwards.

The SUV comes equipped with Mahindra’s MAIA software architecture and six TEQ technology suites. The new TEQ_Talk feature uses Google Gemini AI along with 17 specialised AI agents to manage vehicle controls, navigation, music and news.

The SUV also gets TEQ_Play with karaoke, gaming, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, while TEQ_Drive introduces features like Custom Drive Mode, Drift Mode and Tribe Drive.

Multiple Variants and Battery Options

The BE 6 Sporteq Edition is available in eight variants:ONE, TWO, THREE, THREE+, FOUR, FE, FE FOUR and Launch Edition.

Customers can choose from 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh battery packs, with the top-end variants priced up to ₹26.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

Under the Battery-as-a-Service option, the starting price remains more affordable, though battery usage charges are applicable separately.

Formula E Freedom Edition Gets Performance Boost

Mahindra has also introduced the Formula E Freedom Edition, featuring exclusive styling elements, a Black and Firestorm Orange interior theme and tricolour-inspired accents.

The special edition comes with an Acceleration Boost, improving its 0-100 km/h sprint time to 6.44 seconds.

Software Updates for Existing Owners

Mahindra has announced that new software features from the Sporteq lineup will also reach existing BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S owners through OTA updates in phases from January 2027.

With AI-powered features, connected technology and performance-focused upgrades, the BE 6 Sporteq Edition strengthens Mahindra’s push in India’s growing electric vehicle market.
