New Delhi: The Maruti Suzuki Swift is a favorite among Indian customers, loved for its sporty design, excellent mileage, and easy driving. Now, the company has launched the 2025 model, which includes a new engine, updated features, and attractive color options.
Engine and Variants
The 2025 Swift is available in five variants, LXi, VXi, VXi(O), ZXi, and ZXi+. It can be purchased with petrol and CNG options. The biggest update this year is the new 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine, which replaces the old 4-cylinder K-series engine. This engine produces 80 bhp at 5,700 rpm and 111.7 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm.

LXi – Rs 5,78,900
VXi – Rs 6,58,900
VXi(O) – Rs 6,84,900
VXi AGS – Rs 7,03,900
ZXi+ AGS – Rs 8,64,900
Prices for CNG variants range from Rs 7,44,900 to Rs 8,38,900.
Mileage and Transmission
The Swift comes with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT (automatic) transmission. The manual version returns a mileage of 24.8 km/l, while the automatic version returns 25.75 km/l. The CNG variant offers a mileage of 32.85 km/kg, making it one of the most fuel-efficient cars.
Design and Space
The new Swift remains compact, but now slightly longer, measuring 3860 mm in length, 1735 mm in width, and 1520 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2450 mm, ground clearance is 163 mm, boot space is 265 liters, and the fuel tank capacity is 37 liters.

Safety Features
The new Swift comes standard with safety features like six airbags, ABS+EBD, ESP, hill hold assist, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Top variants also come with a rear parking camera and speed alert.
Interior and Technology
The top variant features a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay support. The mid-spec variant features a 7-inch screen. Features like automatic climate control, cruise control, a wireless phone charger, and push-button start/stop are also available.
The exterior design of the new Swift includes LED headlights, DRLs and 15-inch alloy wheels, making it look more sporty.
