New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car manufacturer, has announced significant relief for customers this festive season. The company is now offering select entry-level cars at a monthly EMI of just Rs 1,999. This scheme is specifically for those looking to buy a car for the first time or transition from a two-wheeler to a four-wheeler.

According to the company, bookings for 2.5 lakh vehicles are currently pending, and manufacturing units are working around the clock to fulfill them.

Partho Banerjee, the company's Senior Executive Officer (Marketing and Sales), revealed in an interview that the company will soon launch an innovative finance scheme. Under this scheme, entry-level cars like the Alto, WagonR, and Celerio can be purchased at a starting monthly EMI of Rs 1,999.

While he did not specify the down payment, EMI tenure, or which banks will participate, it was stated that the scheme aims to empower first-time car buyers.

This scheme has been specifically designed for two-wheeler owners and middle-class families. The company believes that low EMIs will make car ownership easier than ever. This scheme will especially benefit people living in smaller cities and towns, where cars are still considered a luxury.

Sales Expected To Increase Further in October

Maruti Suzuki stated that the company continues to receive strong bookings due to the festive atmosphere, the hard work of dealers, and the speedy processing of finance partners. While daily bookings previously hovered around 10,000, they have now reached 18,000 per day.

Small car sales have seen a growth of up to 100%, indicating that customers are now showing more interest in the affordable segment. The company expects this trend to strengthen in October.
