New Delhi: Royal Enfield bikes have a unique presence in the Indian market, especially among the youth. Now, news has emerged that the company is preparing to launch a new version of its popular bike, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, with a mid-life update. According to reports, the updated model could hit Indian roads by the end of 2026. Recently, the company showcased the more powerful GT-R 750 at events like EICMA 2025 and Motoverse 2025, but there are no plans to discontinue the 650cc version.

New twists in design and appearance

The biggest changes in the updated Continental GT 650 are expected to be in its design and visual appeal. The company may add new and attractive color options, making the bike look fresh and premium. While retaining the existing retro cafe-racer style, some cosmetic changes may be made to give it a more modern touch.

Improvements to Suspension and Braking System

According to reports, the suspension setup may also see a major upgrade. The current telescopic front fork and dual rear shocks could be replaced with a more advanced suspension system, improving ride quality. The braking system is also expected to see improvements. It's likely that a dual disc brake setup will be provided at the front, providing better control and safety during high-speed riding.

Slight Changes in Features and Price

Currently, this bike is available in five color options and is priced between ₹3.50 lakh and ₹3.78 lakh (ex-showroom). The price may increase slightly after the new updates. This model holds a strong position in the company's 650cc lineup, positioned between the Interceptor 650 and Classic 650. It is a popular choice in the twin-cylinder segment.

Modern Upgrades with Retro Style

The Continental GT 650 is known for its smooth power delivery, powerful engine, and classic look. The upcoming update could further enhance its technical and styling. If launched by the end of 2026, this iconic cafe-racer could once again establish its popularity in the Indian market.
