New Delhi: TVS Motor Company is now set to introduce a new electric scooter, the TVS M1-S. This scooter is already being sold in some international markets under the name of the Singaporean startup company ION Mobility.
Now, the company is going to launch it globally under its own TVS brand at the EICMA 2025 show in Milan, Italy, on November 4th.

Low Probability of Launch in India
There has been no official announcement regarding the launch of the TVS M1-S in India yet. The company is currently focusing on its existing electric scooters in India, such as
- TVS iQube (popular model)
- TVS Orbiter (recently launched)
- TVS X (premium segment)
The launch of the M1-S is primarily for international markets, especially in Southeast Asia, where ION Mobility is already active. TVS now wants to strengthen its EV (electric vehicle) presence in these countries.
Powerful Performance and Excellent Power
The TVS M1-S is based on a maxi-scooter design, meaning it is large and stylish. It is built on a new platform and is quite powerful in terms of performance.
It features
- A 4.3 kWh battery
- A 12.5 kW electric motor
- Which together deliver a massive 254 Nm of torque.
- The company claims that this scooter:
- Offers a range of 150 kilometers on a single charge
- Has a top speed of 105 kmph
- And accelerates from 0 to 50 kmph in just 3.7 seconds.
It also comes with multiple riding modes and a reverse gear (for moving backward)—features usually found in expensive electric scooters.
Packed with High-Tech Features
The TVS M1-S is not only fast but also technologically very advanced. It features:
- Twin projector LED headlights
- Eyebrow-shaped DRLs
- and a 7-inch full-color TFT display.
This screen can connect to a smartphone and includes features such as turn-by-turn navigation, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Bluetooth connectivity.
Additionally, it also offers features like a smart-key system, built-in charger, mobile app support, and a USB charging port. The TVS M1-S showcases the company’s technological capabilities and future direction.
Although it won’t be available in India anytime soon, it’s clear that TVS is making rapid strides in the global electric market. This scooter could be a major attraction in countries where the demand for premium electric two-wheelers is growing.
