Patna: Rohini Acharya, daughter of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo and former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, has suddenly announced her retirement from politics. In a social media post, she stated that she is not only leaving politics but also distancing herself from her family.
Rohini wrote that she is taking responsibility for the party's defeat and no longer aspires to any position. She stated that self-respect is paramount for her and that she has fulfilled her duty as a father and sister.

Rohini Acharya was reportedly upset with the interference of Sanjay Yadav, a close associate of Tejashwi Yadav, in the party. On September 18, she also targeted Sanjay Yadav, who has become Tejashwi's shadow, on social media.
She wrote, "The front seat is always for the top leader, and no one should occupy that seat even in his absence. If someone considers themselves above the top leadership, that's a different matter."
It is clear that Rohini Acharya expressed her disagreement with the power struggle and interference in the party.
Rohini also shared photos and videos of her father Lalu Prasad Yadav giving life. She wrote that those who have the courage to make such a sacrifice are filled with fearlessness and self-respect.
She said, "I have fulfilled my duty as a daughter and sister. I have no desire for any position or political ambition. Self-respect is paramount for me."
Rohini's post is rapidly going viral on social media. Her supporters wrote that Bihar will never forget this daughter's sacrifice. They called her sacrifice for her father memorable.
One supporter wrote, "You gave your father life by donating your kidney."

Following Rohini's allegations, Sanjay Yadav, RJD MP and close aide of Tejashwi Yadav, responded. He said that we all understand Rohini Didi's statement and the party is completely united. There is no misunderstanding or disagreement of any kind.
Analysts believe that Rohini Acharya's move highlights internal disagreements and power struggles within the RJD. However, the party leadership has dismissed it as a personal decision and has attempted to maintain unity within the entire organization.
