Patna: The police has arrested two suspects of the double murder in Nagwa village under Janipur police station in Patna, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The suspects have been identified as Shubham Kumar and his accomplice, Roshan Kumar. Both of them are about 19-year-olds. They knew the family of the victims and lived in the same area.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kartikeya Sharma said that two minor siblings were first hit with bricks, then burned and strangulated in their home.
While addressing a press conference, Kartikeya Sharma said, '...Two people have been arrested in connection with the case....The deceased siblings were sleeping in their houses, when the accused came in with a kerosene bottle. In fact they came there with the intention of killing and burning the victims to hide the evidence.
Sharma said, "It was a pre-planned murder. The accused bought kerosene oil in the morning from the nearby shop and hit the boy with a brick and strangulated the girl. To hide the evidence, the bodies were set on fire. The accused confessed to committing the crime during questioning. This incident was done in connection with an unsuccessful relationship."

According to the police, 19-year-old Shubham Kumar, also known as Sunny Kumar, and 19-year-old Roshan Kumar have been arrested in this case. On the night before July 31, the bodies of two children were found in Nagwa village, which is under the Janipur police station area in Patna. The police said the incident happened on July 31 in the same area and was resolved within 24 hours. Police officials also said that Phulwari MLA Gopal Ravidas is accused of stopping the investigation
The SSP added, "Some people stopped the police from investigating for their own benefit. The police officer was being targeted. In this case, the road was blocked, and the police were stopped from doing their job. The police have filed a complaint against MLA Gopal Ravidas and others. The case has been registered under Sections 103 (1) (murder), 238 (destruction of evidence), 61 (2) (criminal conspiracy), and 3 (5) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). "
