TN govt transfers senior IPS officer Asra Garg
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Home Department has ordered a key transfer within the state police.
Thiru Asra Garg, IPS, currently serving as Inspector General of Police, North Zone, Chennai, has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Police, Intelligence, Chennai, replacing Thiru Avinash Kumar, IPS.
The transfer and posting come into effect immediately, according to Police Note No. SC/16/2026 issued from the Secretariat, Chennai. The notification was signed by K Manivasan, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government.
