Tamil Nadu government announces key IAS transfers
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has issued a series of important transfers and postings of senior IAS officers, along with the placement of one officer at the disposal of the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC).
In the latest orders from the Public (Special-A) Department:
Thiru N Muruganandam, IAS, on return from leave, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary / Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management, replacing Tmt P Amudha, IAS, who held additional charge.
Thiru MA Siddique, IAS, previously serving as Additional Chief Secretary / Managing Director of Chennai Metro Rail Limited, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to Government, Finance Department, succeeding Thiru T Udhayachandran, IAS.
Dr S Swarna, IAS, formerly Principal Secretary / State Project Director, Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), has been appointed as Principal Secretary to Government, Tourism, Culture and Religious Endowments Department, taking over from Dr. K Manivasan, IAS, who held additional charge.
Additionally, Thiru K. Nanthakumar, IAS, previously Registrar of Cooperative Societies, has been placed at the disposal of TASMAC for appointment as its Managing Director, succeeding Thiru T. Christuraj, IAS. The terms of his deputation will follow existing regulations for foreign service, as outlined in G.O.Ms.No.167, Public (Special-A) Department, dated February 21, 1994.
The government’s order, signed by Chief Secretary M Sai Kumar, has been circulated to all relevant departments, secretaries, and officials to ensure smooth administrative transitions.
