UP govt announces major bureaucratic reshuffle; 20 IAS officers transferred

The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 20 IAS officers in a major administrative reshuffle, changing postings of CDOs, Special Secretaries, Municipal Commissioners and senior officials.

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government carried out a major administrative reshuffle late Thursday night, transferring 20 IAS officers and assigning new responsibilities across several key departments.

The changes include officials serving as Chief Development Officers (CDOs), Additional Commissioners, Special Secretaries, Municipal Commissioners, and Managing Directors.

Vishal Singh to Focus Solely on Information Department

As part of the reshuffle, IAS officer Vishal Singh has been relieved of his additional charge as Special Secretary, Culture Department, and Director of Culture. He will now focus exclusively on his role as Director of Information.

Changes in Medical Education and Registration Departments

Sudha Verma has been transferred from the Revenue Department and appointed Labour Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh.

Sarika Mohan has been relieved of her responsibilities as Director General and Secretary, Medical Education Department, and appointed Inspector General of Registration.

Meanwhile, Neha Sharma has been moved from the post of Inspector General of Registration to serve as Director General and Secretary, Medical Education Department.

Fresh Appointments in Culture and Mining Departments

Arun Kumar has been transferred from the Geology and Mining Department and appointed Mission Director, Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission.

J. Reebha has been given additional charge as Additional Director, Geology and Mining, alongside her existing responsibilities.

Deepa Ranjan has been shifted from the Rural Livelihood Mission to become Special Secretary, Culture Department.

Additional Responsibilities in Culture Directorate

Sanjay Kumar Singh-I has been relieved of his charge as Special Secretary, Culture Department, and will now hold additional responsibility as Director of Culture alongside his role as Director of Charitable Affairs.

Power and Child Development Departments See Changes

Riya Kejriwal has been moved from the post of Managing Director, Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited and appointed Special Secretary, Women and Child Development Department.

Sandeep Bhagia has been appointed the new Managing Director of Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited.

Several Chief Development Officers Transferred

Parikshit Khatana has been shifted from Chief Development Officer, Azamgarh, to Additional Commissioner, State Tax, Gautam Buddh Nagar.

Rakesh Kumar Patel has been appointed the new Chief Development Officer of Azamgarh.

Ojaswi Raj has been transferred from CDO, Ballia, to serve as Municipal Commissioner, Mathura-Vrindavan Municipal Corporation.

Alok Kumar has been moved from Additional District Magistrate, Gonda, to Chief Development Officer, Ballia.

Ajay Kumar Gautam has been transferred from CDO, Etawah, to Additional Commissioner, State Tax, Ghaziabad-I.

Sanjay Kumar Singh has been shifted from Additional District Magistrate (Administration), Muzaffarnagar, to Chief Development Officer, Etawah.

Other Key Appointments

Jag Pravesh has been transferred from Municipal Commissioner, Mathura-Vrindavan to Special Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department.

Manikandan A., who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Additional Land Management Commissioner, Revenue Council, Uttar Pradesh.

Vandana Verma has been given additional charge as Joint Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation, while continuing in her current role.
