New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) delivered an exceptional performance in January 2026, achieving its highest-ever monthly domestic sales since entering the Indian market. The company sold 59,107 vehicles within India during the month, marking a solid year-on-year growth of 9.5%.
This milestone highlights Hyundai’s strong foothold in the highly competitive Indian automobile sector and reflects sustained consumer demand for its diverse product lineup.
The growth comes at a time when the auto industry is navigating changing consumer preferences, rising competition, and cost pressures. In addition to domestic success, Hyundai Motor India also recorded its highest-ever total monthly sales in January 2026. The company sold a combined 73,137 units across domestic and export markets, registering an impressive 11.5% year-on-year growth.

Two of Hyundai’s popular models stood out during the month. The Hyundai VENUE recorded its highest-ever monthly sales of 12,413 units, while the AURA sedan achieved a personal best with 7,978 units sold. These record numbers underline the strong appeal of Hyundai’s compact SUV and entry-level sedan in their respective segments.
