Mumbai: The IPO of Physicswala, a leading edutech company, listed on the domestic stock market today with a bang. Shares issued at an IPO price of ₹109 opened at ₹145 on the NSE and ₹143.10 on the BSE, giving investors a profit of approximately 35% on the initial listing.

Rise Continues After Listing

The stock rose further in the market today, reaching ₹155 on the BSE. Consequently, IPO investors are now 42.20% profitable. Meanwhile, Physicswala employees received shares at a discount of ₹10 per share, further enhancing their profits.

IPO Subscription and Results

Physicswala's ₹3,480.71 crore IPO was open from November 11th to 13th. The total subscription was 1.92 times. Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) were subscribed 2.86 times, Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) 0.51 times, Retail Investors 1.14 times and Employees 3.71 times. ₹460.55 crore for the fitout of new offline and hybrid centers

₹548.31 crore for lease payments for existing offline and hybrid centers

₹28.00 crore for lease payments for Utkarsh Classes & Edutech

₹200.11 crore for server and cloud infrastructure

₹710.00 crore for marketing

About Physicswala

Physicswala offers courses in engineering, medical, civil services, data science, and software development. It operates an online platform, mobile app, and website, as well as offline and hybrid centers. The company is now among the top 5 edutech companies in the country.

Financial Performance

The company posted a loss of ₹84.08 crore in FY2023, which increased to ₹1,131.13 crore in FY2024. This loss decreased to ₹243.26 crore in FY2025. During this period, the company's total income reached ₹3,039.09 crore. In the first quarter of the current FY2026, it reported a net loss of ₹127.01 crore, while total income was ₹905.41 crore.

The impressive listing of the Physicswala IPO has increased investor interest in the edutech sector, and Alakh Pandey has further strengthened his presence in the stock market.
