India Moving Towards Becoming Third-Largest Economy

CM Yogi said the budget reflects Prime Minister Modi’s consistent “Nation First” approach and underlined India’s steady rise as a global economic power. He noted that policy decisions taken over the last 11 years have helped lift nearly 25 crore people out of poverty, creating a strong foundation for inclusive growth.

Calling it historic, the Chief Minister highlighted that Budget 2026-27 is the first to be prepared and presented from Kartavya Bhavan. He said this symbolises the government’s emphasis on duty and responsibility alongside rights. According to him, the Prime Minister’s focus on fundamental duties especially since Constitution Day was formally observed in 2015 has shaped governance and public participation alike.

Reform, Growth and Fiscal Discipline Take Centre Stage

Highlighting the core pillars of the budget, CM Yogi said reform, growth and fiscal discipline are clearly visible throughout the proposals. He added that the combination of these three elements provides a robust framework for building a stronger India and ensuring sustainable development for future generations.

He also stated that the budget aligns with the aspirations of Uttar Pradesh, the country’s most populous state, by supporting employment generation, entrepreneurship and industrial expansion.
