Greater Noida: On the evening of August 21, Nikki Payala died under mysterious circumstances in Sirsa village of Dadri. Since this incident, this case has become the center of a new controversy on social media.
The family of the deceased Nikki has filed a case against her husband, Vipin; brother-in-law, Rohit; mother-in-law, Dayawati; and another relative, Satveer. On August 23, the police arrested the main accused husband, Vipin.
New war on social media
Now a war has broken out between two opposing sides on social media regarding this matter. On one hand, the family members of the accused, Vipin, and his supporters are busy proving him innocent.

Videos are being circulated from their side in which it is being claimed that Vipin was not present at home at the time of the incident. On the other hand, Nikki’s sister, Kanchan, is calling all these claims completely baseless and false. She alleges that all the accused were present at home at the time of the incident.
Questions on the behavior of the accused
The most surprising aspect of this case is the attitude of the accused husband, Vipin. In the videos that came out after he was taken into police custody, there was no sorrow, pain, or remorse on Vipin’s face for his wife’s death.
On the contrary, his gestures seemed as if he was trying to get rid of Nikki. Even while being admitted to the hospital, he told the media that he did not kill his wife, so he does not regret it.
Mutual allegations by the families
Both the families are accusing each other:
Claim of the accused side: Vipin’s family has put forward a video from February of this year, in which a fight is seen between Nikki and Vipin. Apart from this, some people of the village allege that Nikki’s sister, Kanchan, had made the video after she was burnt.
Deceased family’s version: Nikki’s family says that amid the chaos of the incident, her father-in-law and a relative took her to the hospital.
An unsolved mystery
At present, this case has taken the form of a ‘trial by media’ on social media, where every party is putting forth its own point of view. The inhumane behavior of the accused husband has created doubts in the minds of the people, while on the other hand videos are also being brought out in support of his innocence.
Ultimately, it is the job of the police investigation and the court to bring out the truth of all aspects of this and get justice. The public and the media should focus on bringing out the truth on the basis of facts without affecting the process of justice.
