Cyber Cell ASI Sandeep’s Suicide sparks fresh controversy
Rohtak: The ongoing tension and controversy within the Haryana Police shows no signs of abating. Following the suicide of IPS officer ADGP Yaduveer Puran Kumar, ASI Sandeep, posted in the Cyber Cell of Rohtak Police, also committed suicide in his own home on Tuesday afternoon. The incident has created a stir within the police department.
On Tuesday, ASI Sandeep's blood-soaked body was found in a house on Ladhhot-Dhamar Road. Police arrived at the scene after receiving information and began an investigation. Preliminary investigation revealed that Sandeep committed suicide by shooting himself in the temple. His service revolver was also recovered. The deceased was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
DSP Gulab Singh arrived at the scene and continued the investigation with the FSL team. The investigation also yielded a three-page suicide note and a video message from ASI Sandeep, in which he made several serious allegations.
In the suicide note, Sandeep leveled serious allegations of corruption against the late IPS officer, ADGP Yaduveer Puran Kumar. He claimed that Puran Kumar was a corrupt officer against whom substantial evidence existed. Sandeep stated that Puran Kumar committed suicide out of fear of arrest.
Sandeep also alleged that Puran Kumar had hijacked the entire system by exploiting casteism. He described his death as "martyrdom" and demanded a fair investigation. He stated that Puran's family should not be spared and that there should be no compromises in the investigation.
This incident occurred at a time when the case of ADGP Yaduveer Puran Kumar's suicide was still raging within the Haryana Police. Puran Kumar's suicide has sparked widespread debate and investigation, leading to tension within the police department.
The suicide of ASI Sandeep has further exacerbated this tension. Police officers and staff are shocked by this incident and, given the gravity of the matter, are demanding a high-level investigation.
