Prabha Bhandari Arrested as CBI Recovers ₹1.6 Crore Cash and Silver
Jhansi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Deputy Commissioner Prabha Bhandari (IRS-C&IT 2016 batch), posted at CGST Jhansi, on charges of allegedly accepting a ₹70 lakh bribe. The officer reportedly demanded ₹1.5 crore in a GST-related case.
Alongside her, two CGST superintendents – Anil Tiwari and Ajay Kumar Sharma, a lawyer Naresh Kumar Gupta, and company owner Raju Mangtani of M/s Jai Durga Hardware were also taken into custody.

During raids following the arrests, the CBI recovered a total of ₹1.6 crore, including ₹90 lakh in cash. The agency has confirmed that the investigation is ongoing to uncover the full scope of the corruption network.
