The CBI had registered a case in this matter on 25 August. According to the complaint, Sanjeev Bali had demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant to avoid taking samples from his shop and exempt him from inspection for a year, so that he could run his business without any hassle.
The accused parcel clerk agreed to accept a bribe of Rs 8,000 and kept the freight booking bill with him so that the complainant could pay the bribe amount.
CBI started investigation in this case on 21 August. It is alleged that the Assistant Labour Commissioner had demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from a private company.
