Probe Linked to Fake Casual Labour Payments

According to the CBI, the cases involve alleged irregularities in the deployment of casual labourers and the release of payments in the names of fake workers under Project Vijayak and Project Yojak in Ladakh.

The agency registered four FIRs based on complaints filed by the Ministry of Defence following an internal inquiry conducted by the Technical Board of Officers of the BRO.

A total of 10 officers, including Lieutenant Colonels, Major Engineers, and certain private individuals, have been named in the FIRs, the agency said.
