Narayanpur: Six Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security personnel in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh on Friday. The encounter of security forces with Naxalites is still going on in the area.

A large quantity of weapons including AK-46 rifles, SLR rifles, explosive materials and items of daily use have been recovered from the spot. Intermittent encounters between security forces and Naxalites are continuing amid heavy rains.

According to sources, bodies of more Naxalites can still be found. The team of security forces is conducting search operations.

5 Naxalites arrested in Sukma

Meanwhile, security forces arrested 5 Naxalites including a minor in Sukma district. A large quantity of explosive material was also recovered from them. A large amount of explosive material including 20 gelatin rods, 8 detonators, 10 non-detonators and about 3 meters of cordex wire has been recovered from them.
