Delhi-NCR: ANC seizes 250 boxes of illegal liquor in Palwal; One arrested

The team blocked the Mandkol-Fatehpur Billoch road and caught the said vehicle along with the driver.

Palwal: The team of Anti Narcotics Cell seized has arrested a smuggler of 250 boxes of illegal country liquor. A case has been registered against the accused.

ANC in-charge Inspector Ravindra Kumar said that his team had received reliable information that a pickup vehicle was going from Palwal to Faridabad carrying illegal liquor.

Taking immediate action on this information, the team blocked the Mandkol-Fatehpur Billoch road and caught the said vehicle along with the driver. The driver was identified as Trilok Chand, a resident of Junheda village.

250 boxes of country liquor were recovered during the search of the vehicle. The driver could not produce any valid license, permit or documents. During interrogation, the driver revealed that he had brought this liquor from Narang, the owner of L One liquor shop from Agwanpur on the instructions of Amit Kaushik, a resident of Mandhavali.

The police have seized the liquor and the vehicle and registered a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Excise Act. The accused will be taken on police remand, and strict action will also be taken against other accused involved in smuggling.
