Bihar Man Claims Links To NSA Ajit Doval (Img: X)
New Delhi: A shocking case of alleged impersonation has surfaced in Bihar’s Khagaria district, where a man was arrested for allegedly posing as an IAS officer and claiming links with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Police recovered a Tesla car, a luxury SUV, imported liquor and several other high-value items from his residence during the investigation.
The accused, identified as Manish Gupta, was arrested after police received information about his alleged activities. Officials said Gupta had been presenting himself as a senior government official and was allegedly involved in fraudulent activities across different parts of Bihar.
During a raid at Gupta’s residence in Jamalpur under Gogri police station limits, police recovered several luxury items, including a Tesla car equipped with a full self-driving feature and a Tata Safari SUV.
According to police, the Tesla had a ‘Government of India’ board displayed on it, raising further questions about Gupta’s alleged impersonation.
Apart from vehicles, police seized more than 31 litres of imported foreign liquor, beer, five iPhones, 20 credit cards, eight debit cards and four cheque books.
During questioning, Gupta allegedly showed documents claiming his association with the Central Vigilance Commission and said that he worked as an undercover agent under NSA Ajit Doval.
Police also said Gupta produced an identity card claiming him to be an IAS officer. However, preliminary investigation reportedly found that both claims were false. Khagaria Superintendent of Police Bhanu Pratap Singh said the documents and identities presented by Gupta were being verified as part of the ongoing probe.

Authorities are now investigating how Gupta acquired expensive vehicles and other assets. The Economic Offences Unit of Bihar Police is assisting in examining his financial records and alleged fraudulent activities.
Police officials suspect that the assets may have been acquired through deception or illegal means, and further investigation is underway to determine the complete extent of the alleged fraud.
During the search operation, police also recovered two horns of a barasingha (swamp deer), possession of which is prohibited under the Wildlife Protection Act. Officials are investigating the source of the animal parts and whether any wildlife-related offence is involved.
